Love my Pico. I have also shot my buddy's Bodyguard extensively. The only good thing I will say about that gun is it is reliable- but the sights, trigger, laser, and ergos are terrible. Accuracy is so bad effective range is limited to about 7yds.....ugh.

IMO, there are too many reasonably priced compact 9mm pistols available to CCW any 380. Some that come to mind are the S&W shield (striker fired) and the Ruger LC9 (DA). PSA runs frequent sales on both, and gun shows are also great sources for these guns. The 9mm round has the advantages of lower price, more power, and more options in general for both cheap(er) practice ammo as well as defensive ammo.

Carried a Keltec p32 for years . It has only been replaced lately by a glock 42. I can shoot the 42 better than my friends 43, in hand gun power range lead on target beats the little more energy the 9mm offers . It has actually replace 2 handguns the P32 for pocket carry duty and my Ruger SR22 for woods bumming gun

I disagree. I have many CCW pieces, including a J-frame and a Shield. But for concealability, the little LCP is FAR better. No comparison, really - it sits in a pocket holster in the front pocket of my jeans, even somewhat snug ones (they are back in fashion!). And with modern .380 ammo, 6+1 is a reasonable self-defense proposition, especially when you absolutely must keep it hidden. I have the slide clip and, clipped into my UnderArmor, can run 5 miles without noticing it is there. No way could I do that with any 9mm.

But yes, if I must go up against SAMCO, I would take a 9mm - my Shield shoots much better (trigger, accuracy, etc.) than the LCP or my J-frame.

BTW - the LCP can be had for $219 at Sportsmans Warehouse. I would take any Ruger over any Taurus, especially for that price difference.

I have had two TCP's. The first one a stainless "A" model. It had almost constant failures to go into battery. It was replaced with a BSS "D" model. It ran flawless. Carried it for many years until it started dropping magazines, which in my opinion was normal wear. When I pulled the pistol from it's pocket holster the magazine would be loose in the well, making it a single shot.

Went to order parts from Taurus and found out the TCP had been discontinued. I traded the TCP for a LCPII. The LCPII has better sights and a very good single action trigger.

I also have a Kahr CT380, Beretta 85FS, Walther PK380, and a Hi Point CF380. Yeah, I like the 380. My favorite is the Walther, followed by the Kahr.

FWIW, Taurus has replaced the TCP with the Spectrum. The Spectrum generally gets good reviews, and is made in America. I like the "melted" appearance of it. I kind of turned my back on Taurus, not because of their products, but because their customer service sucked. With Taurus opening a plant in Georgia, I might just give them another go.
