Ruger has at least one thing right with the P345, the thing eats recoil, and gives your hands the leftovers Dont get me wrong, my P345 is an excellent shooter, very accurate, gives me no problems at all. I got one of the later ones, without all the issues. After shooting my Ruger, I shot a friends Kimber, which has an alloy frame, and the recoil was notably harder using the same ammo. I just picked up a new Springfield loaded fullsize, and this thing is way heavier than my Ruger, yet the recoil is still more. Ruger's got a winner, and a well designed 45, except for the mag disconnect, of course
