top rifle is a match winning (in German/US military base match circuit) .50 cal Hopkins and Allen Bull gun with a lyman 17 front sight and a fabricated rear sight that is sighted in for a round ball and 40-50 grains of FFG Goex . I traded my Lyman .50 Plains rifle to a retired light col. for it after he printed 50 yard cloverleafs with it from a bench in an informal match. It IS heavy but like the quote "only accurate rifles are interesting" goes :)
The bottom side by side 10 ga , is my little friend :) It likes at least 70 grains of FG up to 90 grains and an once and a quarter of .31 balls with a thick felt under wad and a medium felt over wad. I also shoot it with steel BB shot I load into my 10 gauge Ithaca pump for waterfowl and turkeys as I have alot of it. Not to worry it has a heavy walled chrome bore !
