Can I get some recommendations for N Frame boot grips with the back strap exposed? There seem to be very few/no options from the major makers. I would prefer rubber if any exist. Help!

Kim Arhends makes some.

If you're dealing with the bulk of an N frame already, I'd suggest using since Combat grips. But, you do you.

Except for the ugly Pachmayr decelerator, there aren’t many (any).

But here’s the thing. Wood bantam, boot, or combat grips carry so much better in a holster. Wood slides on garments and doesn’t catch on everything.

you can change grips to rubber for range practice, and change back to a small profile grip for carry. If you have to use your carry gun in an extreme situation, you won’t notice the recoil. A sore hand will be the least of your worries.

SteadyD,
Here is a grip on EBay. It’s a used Pachmayr grip. It appears to be either a “Compac” or “Presentation” grip but if you look at the photos it doesn’t go much past the base of the frame. Perhaps this might work and if not it is a two piece and could be modified and still be installed.
Not sure if EBay links are allowed but:

Here is a link to show the differences in Pachmayr grips that may help you in your search.

Pachmayr grips are not pretty but they are functional. Look into the Compac series.

I posted this picture a while back on a revolver thread, but I sure do like this Pachmayr (can't recall the model name) on my 27-3 FBI Commemorative bedside gun. It is kind of sticky, slim and fits my hand very well. The backstrap is exposed but the grip extends longer than the frame at its base near the heel of the hand.

Sweet revo!

Thanks, Makoman. I wondered about using a commemorative, as most people keep them unused in my limited experience. I wondered if it was the same revolver on the inside as other 27's (it is!). It's as nice and stout a revolver as I have ever seen, though I have not seen near the number as many of you here have seen. The 5" barrel is perfect length for me.

"Time for the yearly cleaning of my work gun"

bluejeans last post on that topic shows how to modify the Hogue K-Frame Grip to fit the N-Frame.

PS Couldn't get my cellphone to copy the link.

Did you look at Eagle “Secret Service” grips?

They look like a boot grip and they leave the back strap exposed.
I came across these looking for some other grips for my K frame.
