Does anyone think it is a coincidence that the opening of the UN conference on small arms and light weapons and N Koreas missile tests were both on July 4th? There is nothing a tyrant hates worse than seeing a group that is not under someone's thumb. It is very clear to me that Kim Jong Il and most UN members hate it that we have relative freedom in the USA and they are making it clear in a not so subtle way by picking July 4 for their tantrums.

Obviously this is all an evil conspiracy. I mean, if you take the number of non-ICBM missiles fired by NK and subtract from that the number of countries in Korea (north and south) you get 4! And, if you take the number of UN security council members and deduct the country closest to NK (China) you also get 4!

Don your tin-foil hats, boys, the UN and NK have joined forces and their black helicopters are hovering above my house as I type

...

I am as pro-gun as the next guy....but the nra lied, the conference starts on the 7th the nra is the brady campaign of guns, Remember when they claimed the AHSA said to use steal wool to clean the barrels of guns....guess what they only recomended it to get rust off. Just because they are on our side doesn't mean all their claims are true.

HUH?

just one question said:

what dose that have to do with the anti gun dominate the world UN and we want to be a world power NK, this is more about the in your face act of these tyrannical A holes, the NRA lied is just a tad bit strong verbiage here.

From the IANSA web site:

"The UN Small Arms Review Conference (26 June to 7 July, New York, US) is a vitally important global meeting for preventing gun violence.

How are the talks going?
The serious negotiations are only just starting to get underway, and a new draft Outcome Document was produced on 3 July with much contention from States and NGOs alike. So far, there are some serious problems: "

So, it did not start on July 4. Some spinning about the date no doubt. But, it did cover the July 4th date. I wonder if they had meetings on July 4th or if they took the day off?

From yet a different part of THR Legal N Political section
A U.N. gun grab

Rachel Stohl claims, "The United Nations met to assess progress made in implementing the 2001 U.N. Programme of Action, agreed to by all U.N. member states, including the United States, to address the illicit trade in small arms and light weapons in all its aspects, not a global gun ban, as the NRA claims" ("A necessary summit," Letters, Tuesday).

Allow me to quote the speech the representative of Indonesia gave on the first day of this conference: "We believe that no armed group outside of the State should be allowed to bear weapons. We also believe that regulating civilian possession of Small Arms/Light Weapons will enhance our efforts to prevent its misuse. In our view, the issue of ammunition should also be addressed in the context of the Program of Action because in the absence of ammunition, small arms and light weapons pose no danger."
Looks as though the boys were busy:evil:
