I have an NAA Mini Master that used to be my right front pocket CCW (S&W 342PD now serves that purpose). I customized an Uncle Mike's .38 holster to make a pocket holster ideal for carrying the Mini Master - simply sewed a seam straight along the line of the seam that held the Uncle Mike's name tag - a perfect fit of gun to holster and holster in pocket.
The NAA Mini Master now stays loaded with snake shot for use against cottonmouth water moccasins and copperheads.
If I ever felt a need for a backup for the 342PD, I'd just put the NAA MM in the left front pocket, loaded with CCI Maxi-Mag Plus V's.
It is a fun gun, cheap to shoot (practice with a .22LR cylinder).
NAA service is excellent. I sent it back to the factory to have the trigger smoothed, and the result was perfection.
The Millet blaze orange front sight is very easy for my old eyes to see, especially in low light.

Because the adjustables are huge, and the rear sight can snag.
This is "the king of mouseguns" and probably the most accurate mousegun ever made, but it IS a mousegun and can serve in a concealed role.

If you are considering it for a CCW primary or backup role, be aware it has very poor penetration. It is a gun and will kill if shot in the right location, but thick jackets and fat will cut down on it's ability to stop a BG.

HKetc: you ARE aware that the CCI MaxiMag +V and +V-TNT make 1,400fps from that 4" tube?

Sorry Jim. You are correct. I missed the Master part. MY NAA has a 1" tube and barely goes through cardboard.

Yup. The MM has a 4" tube plus it's a 22Mag.
Is your 1" beastie a 22LR, or a Magnum? In Magnum you'll pull about 1100fps from a 1 and 1/8th barrel...still not shabby.

You seem to know a lot about these little jewels. I've been looking at a "Black Widow". They also come with both the magnum and LR cylinder. I realize that the NAA Mini Revolver is an "up close and personal" pistol, but I wonder if accuracy would be OK with either cylinder. Some people say that when you shoot a LR from a magnum barrel, accuracy suffers. (Or maybe it's the other way around.
)

Mine is the .22LR version. I keep it more as a novelty than as a defensive or backup firearm.

I own a double-caliber MiniMaster. With CCI MaxiMag +Vs (the high-speed 22Mag ammo) I get around 5" groups offhand at 25 yards. I get the same out of Remington Yellowjackets or CCI Stingers. I'm sure if I bothered to score some closer-to-match-grade fodder I could do better than that, but those figures aren't bad for a "mousegun".
The Black Widow will do almost as well.
Remember that these guns have an interesting potential performance advantage: with the barrel machined out of the same billet of steel as the frame, there's no "constriction" at the base of the barrel.
The Black Widow in double-caliber, fixed sights is the single best minirevolver. I bought the MM because I already had a 1.5" barrel 22Magnum Freedom Arms mini.

I like "Yellow Jackets" too. I realize that we're in the Revolver Forum, but my P22 likes YJ's the best too. As I said on The Firing Line, I stopped at a gun shop to buy some more YJ's and noticed the Mini-Mag +V's. Same truncated bullet, but not hollow point. I bought those instead of the YJ's. However before I could try them out in my Mini Revolver or P22, the only indoor range in town had closed. I put them in my NAA Mini and am waiting for the new range to open for testing.

The gun Sven saw shot was my 1.5" barrel Freedom Arms 22Magnum mini.
That thing is flat psycho. It has a tiny little one-finger grip...it's just horrendous unless you're used to it. It looks so gosh-darn CUTE until you shoot it and then

The Black Widows and MiniMasters are MUCH more controllable and comfortable. These are the ones to get. Note that under the rubber grips, the grip frame on these two are the same as the "Magnum Mini" so if you want to put smaller wood grips on your BW or MM, no problem. These will at least be a "two fingered" wood grip, bigger than what's on my old FA mini. There's also a "larger wood grip" that people often customize some, or you can alter the factory rubber grips very easily.

How does it shoot compared to Beretta 21a?
I'm kind of curious how the Mini Master shoots compared to the Beretta 21a. At "combat ranges", it seems reasonably accurate, but I'm interested in better than reasonable accuracy.
Any comparison?

Steve, a MiniMaster with one of the better 40grain 22Mag loads can reasonably be expected to do 4" groups offhand at 25 yards, or better. That's pretty close to what a 40Cal Glock or other typical police duty weapon can do.
When the gun rags test stuff like Beretta 21s they shoot 'em at 7 yards, to avoid making the gun look bad.
There is just no comparison. It's like the difference between a shotgun with slugs and a Remington 700 in .308.

Is it difficult to learn to shoot a dinky little SA revolver quickly?
Can I ask how you snagged one of those MiniMasters? I thought that I could get it in with the single action revolver exclusion clause of the safety tests, but it turned out to be a little too short.

I bought mine before the "junk gun" law went in.
As to difficult to learn...the BW and MM aren't bad. Ergonomics are excellent considering the #1 design priority was "small size". Within a couple hundred rounds tops you'll be up to one shot per second (aimed) if your basic finger dexterity is decent. And with the 22LR cylinder, that isn't gonna break your bank to accomplish.
You'll find it'll be lots of fun to shoot 50 or so 22LR at a session, and then finish with a few cylinders of Magnums to maintain proficiency with the "big boomers" (joke).
