NAA Sidewinder 4"

I have an older NAA in .22 LR with a 1 3/4" barrel that I carried back before CCW became legal in Wyoming.

Looks like the cylinder pivots to load/unload on this one; hence, Sidewinder? The down side of mine is taking the cylinder out to load.

The 4" barrel doesn't float my boat, but these little guns have a great reputation and are solidly built.

Do you have a specific use in mind for this one, or an excuse for another toy? Which is reason enough in my book.

I like the looks of it also, but to expand it to 38 Spl would make it way to big. But maybe a 32 S&W Long might work.

Quite so. Over a decade ago, I corresponded at some length with NAA regarding a .32-something (.32 ACP, .32 Long, .32 H&R, et al.) version of their little stainless steel wonders. They were cordial and even mentioned a prototype in .32 that they created. Alas, it was never to be. Though my tastes have long shifted to other fields, I still think such a thing would be a dandy little pocket revolver, but the odds of such a thing coming to pass is diminishingly small. C'est la vie.

From about 1880 through WWI personal SD guns were most likely .32's of some stripe with a 3" barrel.

I'd love to see this in a larger caliber also. Wouldn't mind a shorter barrel either. I consider my NAA 22 mag as an up in your face weapon and not a target revolver.
