...from each of the major semi-auto pistol manufacturers and if you previously or currently own/ed it or just like to have one someday. So pick one model from each of these 16 manufacturers: Beretta, Browning, Colt, CZ, FN, Glock, H&K, Kahr, Kel-tec, Kimber, Ruger, Sig, S&W, SA, Taurus and Walther. Obviously, there are a lot of other semi-auto manufacturers that I didn't mention, but I think 16 manufacturers is plenty to make this thread fun enough and to get a good number of people's favorite models out there mentioned. I'll start this off:

H&K HK45(the gun I have dreams about...sigh, I'll never be able to have one....unless someone has one for under $300.)
 
OK, I'll play along:

Beretta: never owned one, can't think of one I want
Browning: Hi-Power, never owned one, but would like to
Colt: Mk IV Series 70 Gold Cup, own 2
CZ: 75, own 1
FN: Five-seveN, don't own one, but I think it would be an interesting caliber
Glock: 20, own 1
H&K: P7M8 or P7M13, never owned, but the squeeze cocker would be different
Kahr: never owned one, can't think of one I want
Kel-tec: never owned one, can't think of one I want
Kimber: never owned one, can't think of one I want
Ruger: SR-9c, never owned one, but kind of want to
Sig: P220, never owned one, but wouldn't mind having one
S&W: 59??, can't remember the exact model number, but it was a 59 series frame with a 69 series slide, factory night sights, two-tone, DAO - wish I still had it! -Edit: Found the model number: 5943 SSV
SA: had a 1911A1, had issues with it, will never own another SA again.
Taurus: never owned one, can't think of one I want
Walther: PPK, never owned one, but James Bond, need I say more?

Beretta 92FS "Centurion" owned one, and it did not fit me
Browning Hi-Power own one, and previously owned a "Practical" model
Browning Buck Mark .22LR own one, with rosewood grips and FO sights
CZ never owned one, and can't think of a reason to purchase one
Walther PPK own one, and previously owned a German PPKS
Kahr own a CW-9 great carry gun, fits me well
SIG-SAUER P220A owned two, currently have one from West Germany
SIG-SAUER P228 own one, best balanced 9mm in the world
SIG-SAUER P226 9mm owned one, could not get use to the European grip angle
SIGARMS P229 .40S&W owned one, too top heavy, sold it in a flash
Smith & Wesson 39-2 own two, one is a "SAFE QUEEN" - the other I shoot
Smith & Wesson 59 owned two, both are gone as the grip was too fat
Smith & Wesson 6906 owned one, but used it on a trade
Smith & Wesson SW1911 5" SS, own one great shoot'in weapon
Kimber owned a 5" Grand Raptor, now down to a SS Ultra Carry II .45 ACP [my EDC]
Springfield Armory own a 5" G.I. model, and a 4" service model XD .45 ACP
High Standard "The Victor" .22 LR best shoot'in .22LR that I own
KEL-TEC P3AT .380 own one, nairy a problem EDC "BUG"
Seecamp LWS-32 owned one, traded on the High Standard
Bauer .25 ACP owned one, long gone from my inventory
Iver Johnson TP-22 owned one, stolen in a car-jacking (1994)
Taurus never owned one, nor do I intend too~! ;)
Les Baer Thunder Ranch Special .45 ACP own one, expensive but quality [NO MIM]
Bersa Thunder Duo-Tone .380 owned one, gift to my son-in-law
Colt owned numerous Government Models, Officers Model, and Commanders
[all are long gone, including the 2X 70 Series Gold Cup National Match guns]
Colt Jr. .22 short owned one, sold it to my father in law
Colt Woodsman Match Target 3rd edition, sold it for NO reason~!
Glocks owned three [17-23-27] all are gone; XD's preferred
Para Ordnance 5" SSP .45 ACP owned one, too much MIM, plastic trigger
Ruger semi-autos - in checking my records, I found that I did own a KMK-
512 MK-II in .22 LR of course, but it too got traded away to fund another
gun project.


As you can see, I don't tolerate JUNK GUNS~!

FWIW- And the same can be said for REVOLVERS~!

I'm glad this thread was formed, as it gives me the opportunity too look back on
time; and inventory what I owned - what I sold [and should not have], and what
I currently own. I will have to say, that I have my inventory [both semi-auto's,
revolvers, shotguns, and rifles] down to a fine science of what I really wanted in
the first place. Many thanks to the OP for starting this thread~!

no disrespect to larger calibers, just prefer revolvers for such
 
Some of my preferences would be situational, but my top 6 carry guns in no particular order are:

Para P-12 (45 ACP) (13 rounds)
Witness Compact (10 MM) (11 rounds)
SR-9 (9 MM) (18 rounds)
Baby Eagle (40 S&W) (don't remember)
RIA-A2 (45 ACP) (15 rounds)
Beretta 92 (9 MM) (16 rounds)

For backup, I keep a number of .380's handy... Bersa Thunder, FEG AP, APK, and Browning BDA...

own fairly amount of handguns but, my favorites are my CZ PO1, Dan Wesson Pointman Major, Ruger Super Blackhawk, SSK Industries T/C in 375 JDJ, Springfield Ultra compact(my carry handgun), Savage Striker in 308, S&W model 1076...oh hell, I like all my guns...

love the 1911 and I enjoy shooting just about any pistol but I would have to say my Ruger Mk II, simply because I can literally shoot it for hours and still afford it and my wife enjoys it too.
 
I love my ruger mark 2.

And my les Baer concept 5 is most definitely my favorite pistol.

Right behind it is my HK p30 40cal. It is a sweet shooting pistol and it fits my hand almost as well as the les baer.

My favorite pistol model, and I dont own but two to pick from is my police trade in S&W 5903 i bought from Buds Guns. It's been 100% reliable and accurate enough for me.
