We just started up a facebook page for the NRA National Firearms Museum, and wanted to invite ya'll to take a look:

http://www.facebook.com/NRAmuseum

If you like it, please "Like" it, and I promise we won't clutter up your newsfeed with multiple pointless postings and we'll try to keep a pleasant trickling stream of gunnish stuff flowing along that you might enjoy.

Also, we've got about 250 or so videos posted at our YouTube channel now... if you search around a bit you can find guests shots by Charlton Heston, Susan Howard, director John Milius, Wayne LaPierre and other notables.

And, please also remember the NRA Museum website has 10,000+ zoomable photos of 3,000 or so guns

I'd be very interested in hearing feedback -- positive, negative, or otherwise -- about the museum's online efforts. Please feel free to post here or email me at [email protected]

Jim, I have been there twice and the pictures really don't do justice to the exhibits. The last time I was there my wife accompanied me. She was awestruck. The beauty of the individual pieces and the historical value of others overwhelmed her. I wholeheartedly recommend anyone in the area of Fairfax, VA stop in and take a good look at the exhibits. You and your staff have done an oustanding job. Being a police officer, the guns of law enforcement exhibit is my favorite. My favorite piece in that exhibit is the little S&W revolver carried on Sept. 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center. Keep up the good work. I plan on being back each year to see what new exhibits are available.

Thank you Black Knight, and that piece is one of my favorites in the Museum too. We are honored to display it. When I do a VIP tour of the Museum, it's always the piece that I close with. -- Jim

p.s. -- The YouTube channel link above takes you right to the video of that gun. Here it is again if anyone missed it:

Thanks for the update Jim. I got to pop in there in 2008 when I was in N VA on business. It is a great place. Keep up the good work.

Regards

Ben Shepherd
