Need a 45 acp gold dot load

I came into some 230gr gold dots and am looking for a load. If anyone had one using Win 231 it would be great because thats what I have. Also if you could give me the COAL it would be greatly appreciated.

Speer manual #13 gives a minimum of 5.0 and a maximum of 5.6 with W-231. It was the lowest velocity load they showed. 765 FPS - O.A.L. 1.200

I would suggest investing in the Speer #14 manual.

I shoot 230 GDHP all the time. My standard load is 5.6gr of 231 at the (standard factory) OAL of 1.200". This gives me around 820FPS out of 5" 1911s.

Thanks a lot guys, i just loaded up 50 with 5.4g of 231 at 1.2 oal. I'll takem out in the next couple of days to see how they work before I more up in grains.
