I'm new to the board. Seems like several of you own Stery M's. I've got an S40, but I cannot find a conceal carry holster. I am ready to try a bellyband because it's winter. But it gets hot in Houston, Tx.......any suggestions?

I have an M40 and just ordered an S40 (it should be here tomorrow :D ). So I'm going to be in your situation pretty soon (I have a real nice molded leather pancake holster for the M40 ... I hope the S40 fits in it because I'm going to convert it into an IWB).

At any rate, there are several Steyr pistol guys here and many of them swear by High Noon holsters http://www.highnoonholsters.com/

Leto,

Welcome to THR!

How do you like your S40? I am considering getting one since their such a good price right now from CDNN.

Welcome to THR.

If you cant find one on the market feel free to give the folks a call at
Comp-Tac. They make Kydex holsters that are very reliable.

He will also make one to fit your gun if he doesnt have one in production already. Quick friendly service.

I use one for my G19 here even thru the summer with no problems. I have the Comp-Tac undercover pro. He makes them with the slide guard on them too.

Go to www.comp-tac.com for details.

thank you

thanks alot you guys for the warm welcome. I really like my s40. it is completely different from any other weapon that i have handled. I am a very simple person and so is this gun. Do any of you use galco's bellyband?

holster for your S-40

So, what holster did you wind up using for your S-40? I need one for my S-9.

I bought one of these off a guy on ebay. Covered the holster in Mink Oil and then covered my M40 in plastic wrap and stuffed it into the holster and left in there for a few hours. Then I pulled the gun out wiped down the hoster real good pulled the plastic wrap off my Steyr and put it back into the holster. Worked like a charm, the leather streatched out to a perfect fit, titght enough I have to want it to come out, but not so tight I have to force the gun into the holster, on top of that the holster turned out to be very comfortable. If you don't like that idea then these guys can make you one for a reasonable price.

Holster

It took me allot longer to find a holster then it did for me to find a gun that I could carry. Congrats to Zundfolge for the new Steyr in route I am sure you will enjoy it. I love mine!!

I use a Bianchi Minimalist 105. It didn't fit very well at first, but now fits all of my Steyr pistols perfectly.

right now i am still looking for a good conceal carry holster for the s40. I have looked at a few customs including highnoon, and an all kydex custom. i am almost ready to commit, i'll let you know how it turns out.
