Hi All
I am in the market for a new pistol for daily carry. Looking for something around the size of a LC9 but with a lower barrel axis. G19 is just a bit to thick for my likings. Prefer a 9mm but I could get by with a 40s&w if I had to. I would carry it in a IWB holster and wear jeans and Tee shirt most of the time.

What is available?

Thanks
WB

Shot 'em all the last 6 months. Small and thin 9mm? Springer XD-S in 9mm or the Sig Sauer P239HD and P938 are my favs for the thinner ones.

I absolutely love the Walther PPS I got for my daughter, by far the best trigger on a polymer striker fired pistol I have tried.

We can make personal recommendations all day long but when it comes down to it, there are a lot of small, flat 9mms suitable for daily carry out there. Each of them are designed a little differently (some of them a lot differently) and will fit different hands better than others, different preferences better than others.

Having said that, if a friend were to ask me your question looking for a specific recommendation (belt carry not pocket carry), I would recommend starting with the following three and seeing how the weight, size, and controls (safety, slide stop lever) work well with your personal preferences:
Kahr K9
XDs 9mm
CZ Rami

wb,

No discussion is complete regarding flat and easily CCW'd 9mm's without the SW 3913/14 series. Light, reliable and accurate. Good luck.

best wishes- oldandslow

I love my Kel-Tec P-11. 12+1 9mm, but the Kel-Tec PF9 is a bit thinner and the trigger is better, but it only holds 7 rds of 9mm. Both are highly reliable contrary to the high dollar snobs opinions. I do trust my life to mine.

My beretta nano disappears iwb and is easy to pocket carry. I shoot it very well and changing the sights is super easy; just uses set screws then push them out with your thumb.

Rohrbaugh r9, if you can afford it. In the past , I did not think it was worth the money, but after shooting one last month, I have a different opinion now.

I really like the R9, but I realize it is expensive.

I am in Illinois and I have my R9 with me every day, technically I'm "transporting" it, not carrying it.

But I put it in a DeSantis Nemesis holster and tuck that in a 5.11 Select Carry Pistol Pouch,
go jogging, biking, grocery shopping - whatever.

Even with the recall, I would recommend the XDs. I own a 45 but the 9 is the same frame. The .45 is one of the nicest shooting .45 pistols that I own. Throw in a IWB holster and it hides away even with just a shirt and tie.
