I haven't had the browning buckmark out in years. I finally got around to ordering a pre-2000 buffer pad, which I now need to install in the pistol so I can take her out shooting tomorrow.

Here's the deal: I can't exactly remember the simple procedure to remove the bolt. I downloaded the owners manual from Brownings website, but the instructions are different; they basically advise just spraying it out for cleaning, and the detailed instructions on field stripping aren't in the manual anymore!

Could one of you with a better memory provide the specific step by step instructions to reinstall this buffer pad? Sorry to ask, I feel silly asking about a procedure that I recall being quite simple.

Yup, that's it! Thank you sir.

Amazes me that the current version just advises spraying it out. They don't even want you to properly field strip it. I dunno, I was always taught to field strip and really clean & lube. Maybe I'm getting old....

These days, the adage of a picture being better than 1,000 words seems to be more and more true.
Have you checked youtube for a disassembly video?

I hadn't thought about trying YouTube, but I'll take RC over YouTube any day of the week!

It is a simple pistol to break down & reassemble. I can't wait to shoot it!

Be careful. The newer models have screws that do not want to come out. A rounded head could become a real pain.
