Baby Eagle

I own the full size steel 941 it's superb. Before my purchase I tried Cz 75b Barreta 93, Sig p226 and ended up with the one I want. Never shot the Smith

I own an original Jericho 941, and all I have to say is that I wish I was as accurate as this handgun, at 20 yards I can consistently punch the center orange dot out of a 10" shoot n see, the original 941's have poly rifling, hold 16+1 with a super low bore axis. I haven't handled the smith too much, but ill tell you rite now I'm impressed as I can be with the Jericho .

Also just noticed where someone before me mentioned the P6, I also have one of these, it shoots like its laser guided, between the Jericho and it, I usually have a difficult time picking which to carry that day.

I have owned two 5906's and they are excellent pistols. The Jericho will not come along as often as the 5906. I'd get the Jericho now, and when you become more solvent in a year or two, the 5906's will still be on the market. A little bit higher in price, though. The 75 clones are great shooters.

I've never shot a Jericho but am intrigued by them. I can vouch for the quality/dependability of the 5906. I really love mine. However, you have an opportunity to get something that you have wanted for a very long time. As already pointed out, Jericho's are not nearly as plentiful and the opportunity may not come again for a long time. I'd say get the Jericho only because there may be regrets if you don't. Not so much regrets of getting the 5906 as much as regrets of passing up an opportunity to get "your" gun.

Safties are opposite and one is frame mounted one slide mounted.

Advantage Jericho. I'm not sure all parts swap with the CZ 75, but that's essentially what it is and that's a proven design.

Haven't shot any of those, but if you wanna hear my humble opinion...

I bought, some time ago, a fantastic Beretta PX4 Storm. Great gun. I bought because it seemed the most reasonable choice given my personal circumstances. My heart, however, wanted a STAR 30M (a pistol quite similar, in concept, to those two you mentioned). I passed on the STAR. They seemed expensive, spares not readily available, etc... I kept the Beretta for four months, and sold it. I wouldn't have minded keeping it, but needed the cash... for the STAR.

Now I'm a happy man. I have the pistol I wanted to have and enjoy it at the range as a small child enjoys his first bicycle. And I'll be purchasing a G19 for CCW in the future.

It speaks very well of you that being the young man you are, you think things twice and seek advice of those you -rightly so- think more experienced than you, but in this case, we're talking pistols that are quite similar in performance and quality. Do what your heart tells you to ;),

I shot a friend's Jericho a while back. Based on the look of the gun, I had expected it to be chunky and clunky. Boy was I wrong!!!
It felt wonderful in the hand, recoil was nice and easy, build quality was very nice, and it was very accurate. I really liked that gun.

Most CZ-75 clones are accurate unless specifically manufactured badly. It's an inherently accurate design.

Jericho's with their polygonal riffling and full length dust cover, combined with extremely tight **** manufacturing tolerances makes the blasted things stupid accurate.

I really haven't come across a person who had one example of a Jericho 941 (mossberg uzi eagle, mri baby eagle) which wasn't boringly accurate.

I've had the jones for one since they began being imported and never got around to picking one up. I always wanted a full size model in .45: which they never produced until KBI/Charles daly started importing them. Alas: KBI/CD went out of business before i could snag one.

Some very foul language commenced the day I found that out...

CZ-Clone

I can not speak for the Jericho. However I do have The Tanfoglio Force Carry. An Italian made pistol that I believe many of the "Jericho" parts come from.

Very, very nice pistol, good looking black finish, and a really great SA trigger.

The Jericho should do nicely.

Update

Hey guys, thanks again for all the information that you provided; really got more than I expected in such a small period of time no less, but I digress. I ended up purchasing the Jericho 941, and can say it was probably one of the best purchases I've ever made. Went to the range and unloaded about 100 rounds worth to check for function, and it seemed like over half my shots were in the first two rings (bullseye and the ring just outside it), even at 20 yards. I had never shot nor owned a handgun before, as I am (or was) a rifle "snob" who just "specialized" in long distance/extreme distance shooting, so I was surprised at how easily this gun shot. It literally felt like it was part of my hand, and the recoil was almost nonexistent. I have definitely found my gun for CC (surprisingly was able to find a holster that was comfortable to wear) and home defense gun. Since I live in Florida and relatively close to where the whole Treyvon Martin instance occurred, now is a great time to be prepared given all the protests that seem to be making their way closer to my home :uhoh:

For a backup I was taking a look at the new XDs that Springfield is said to be releasing within the next week; an extremely slim/lightweight .45 with a 5+1 single stack magazine. What do you guys think?

Glad you're happy with the gun! Pics please? :D

Don't get the gun as soon as it comes out, stick with something already proven and wait a while for others to figure out any bugs with the new XD. It'd suck to be the first guy to find any problems firsthand.

Turtlephish you were the one who made me stick with my gut feeling and get the Jericho! I kept wavering between it, the 5906, and then the Sig P6 (which apparently is a beast) for a little while, but decided I'd truly regret not getting it. I'll give you pictures soon don't worry; I already show it off to all my friends who get incredibly jealous that I have an original, so I'll show you guys too.

In regards to the XDs, I think I'll wait until the kinks are mentioned on forums and, based on how severe (if at all) they are, I'll either get one or save my money until they fix their problems or if something better comes along.

Thanks again for your help
