Need help: What was the first Kershaw Speed Safe Knife?

I know it had a Wharncliffe type blade and is no longer in production. It looked like an excellent knife.
 
Sorry AG, but that's not a Random Task. It's a Random Task II, which has very little resemblance to the original.

I own several of the first generation Onion Speedsafes (actually I own a proto and several...) and the Random Task had micarta scales. The bottom knife in the below image is the Random Task that Ken made and that Kershaw duplicated almost exactly. They quickly discarded the sloped thumb stud as being too difficult to use.

First Gen Random Task

Yeah, I ran into some photos of that design just as I was being kidnapped to chase bugs in some random code. Figured I'd get back to it and follow up when I got home.

Well, I'm home.
