Called CH Tool & Die today
Spoke with Dave (nice helpful guy) who didn't just try and sell me a die. We talked and it was his opinion that the 308 brass is just a little thick for putting on the star crimp. He said he thought Starline made 45 blank brass. I looked but didn't see any. He said that they have a 45 blank crimp set that consists of a shoulder die and a star crimping die. Its $104.27 but still not as steep as the RCBS die set. I think I may go with CH4D die set and 45 Win Mag brass. Before I order though I will call Dave back and be sure that the 45 acp die set will work on 45 win mag brass. No reason to beleive it wouldn't.
Oh well unless I change my mind again thats where I am at today!
