Need help with the value of an antique Percussion pistol please..

Hey guys and gals, First time to post. Love the sight.

I have a 44 cal. Richland Arms co. percussion pistol. It was made in Italy. It is black powder only. I am guessing it is from the mid 1800's.

Do any of you know how to find the value and the history of this gun. I bought it at a garage sale and it looks like it is in excellent shape sans the normal wear and tear. It is possibly made out of tiger maple?

My guess is that it is from the late 1900's, in other words a repro, imported by Richland arms. Since smokeless wasn't invented until the late 1800's, guns weren't marked for black powder only.

a friend has a couple of richland arms flintlocks. Well made guns.
