Need ideas for "church leather"

My understanding was you could carry in a church as long as you had written approval from the senior pastor. I have not been able to find the particular code any where.

I should say I am an Assemblies of God minister in training. I should have my offical credentials in the fall. I was wanting something a little fancier than plain black because us Pentecostals like to get lively during the service.:D :D

§ 18.2-283. Carrying dangerous weapon to place of religious worship.
If any person carry any gun, pistol, bowie knife, dagger or other dangerous weapon, without good and sufficient reason, to a place of worship while a meeting for religious purposes is being held at such place he shall be guilty of a Class 4 misdemeanor.

Virginia code taken from the Va State Police website.

It is just a class 4 misdemeanor, which means an arrest, conviction and fine of not more than $250. But, do you really want this on your record? And a judge could revoke your CCW permit.

Praise the Lord.... or she gets it between the eyes!

HEY it could be worse, you could be "whiskeypailin" and need a matching holster for your bottle.

cause as we all know, where there are 4 episcopals, there is always a fifth. :p :D "I say, I say, thats a joke boy"

but seriously, how about waterproofing for baptism? (disregard if you are a sprinking methodist)

how many shots will you need? (sorry to all you unitarians)

how much is it? (important to all those tight Scotch Presbityerians)

and when you use it are you sending the fellow to hell or was it predestination?

this and other more disturbing questions burn in me, or perhaps it was the mushroom swiss burger.... i dunno.

addendadumdadumdadum (whoaaaa!!!)

to anyone and everyone i have managed to insult and embarass.

im not sorry....

welllllll a little....and to the fellow in the pulpit with the pistol, whatever you say sounds great by me:p amen

my only regret is i couldnt think of a gun oriented joke involving mormons. :banghead: drats and curses.

that woulda been a topper.

and to anyone who wonders im a southern baptist who isnt afraid to dance!!! :neener:

I dont know what is taking someone so long to say it but...

Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!

Sorry guys, I couldn't resist the temptation. Amen, Preacher, I'm with you, brother!

I believe Kentucky for one has updated their CCW laws allowing pastors to carry in their own church.

And I, for one, would consider it a Pastor's duty to protect his flock. After all a terrorist attack could happen at any time against any Christian religion.

If the ability to protect your congregation isn't "good and sufficient reason" then I wonder what is?

Blues is right...

It was a "Church Of Christ" Preacher who wanted to carry in church and who got that "updated" for Kentucky CCDW's. However, I thught the update meant EVERYBODY can carry in church. Anyone know for sure?
