Need inch lbs torque wrench for scope

What works and
is reasonable prices?

Bull
I have this from Vortex. It was on clearance from Academy for like 50 bucks a year and a half ago or so. It's a 10-50in-lbs model that has a quick release 1/4 hex drive like a cordless 1/4 impact driver so you can easily use your own bits or a socket adapter for small bolts.

I used it for my action screws on my custom 25-06 and you'd be surprised how little torque 30/35in-lbs is...
Edit, I see the OP got a Wheeler Fat Wrench, I'm sorry I didn't read all the way through.

I have the Fat Wrench that came in my Wheeler scope kit, also I have a green and yellow one from Amazon that I keep in my range bag just in case (currently out of town so unable to get the brand). I've seen the sticks and like the compactness of them compared to what I carry.
I always return my torque wrenches back to 0 or lowest setting between use, I don't know if it helps but that is what I was taught 50+ years ago

Satisfied Fat Wrench owner here.... Just wondering about that return to zero between use. Never heard of it and I can't find any of the instructions that came with my Fat Wrench. Should I return it to zero when I'm not using it? Just looking to treat my equipment properly.

I don't crank them down too tight. And i use blue loc-tite. . .
Never used a torque wrench when
mounting scopes or rings or bases.
Everything gets degreased and I
make sure all screw holes are debris
free, and everything gets loctite.
Not planning on mounting any more
in my lifetime barring boo boos.
Been lucky I guess. I've never had
the problems others have had

That was something I was told in the 70s from older wrench turners that have forgotten more than I'll ever know about racing engines and chassis, they might have been a little biased towards the beam torque wrenches

I always turn it down to the lowest amount on the scale as I was told the same thing when I started out mechanic-ing.

I have stuff that’s a lot more expensive and very easy to torque to any given amount but the over center style Wheeler “Fat Wrench“ is easy to make and extremely repeatable once set.

However, if you want a better version and have a way to set it these are even better.
