Howdy,

I'm looking for a simple light mount for my AR15. I have a Bushmaster carbine with the standard carbine-length hand guards. I'd like to get a light mount for a Surefire type light that mounts to the handguards or front sight base. I don't want a vertical foregrip or railed handguards.

What are your suggestions?

Also, I'd like a 2 point sling. I've tried the 3 point sling (CQB solutions) and the single point sling. The 3 point is the better of the two, but since I tried a 2 point sling on a SIG 556, I think that system is better.

Any ideas on 2 point slings?

Thanks.

For the light mount: You could attach a regular Weaver base in the desired location, then use a 1" Weaver ring to hold the light. Not tacticool but there's no reason why it wouldn't work.

For the two-point sling: Check out the Israeli Patrol Slings available from DSG Arms in TX.

Fly320s:

I have one (a foreend rail) that I used to use, and removed. I do not use it, and never will use it again. I bought a 4-rail forend. :)

You can have it for the cost of shipping. I will post a pic for you tomorrow to see if you want it. if you do, I will ship it to you, and enclose the receipt for the shipiing. If you like it send me a MO for the shipping. if you don't like it, give it away. Fair deal?

I'm still looking for it! I'll keep at it, and when I locate it I'll PM you.

I found it! It isn't much, but it's free. I will post two pics.

You will see that the screw that secured the vertical grip left a mark, but that will be covered by a light. Also, there are two rough spots on bottom from the mounting screws. Those can be smoothed with a file, and the rough spots will be between the rail and the handguard (unseen). Besides, like I said, it's free.

If this looks like something you want, send me a PM with the name and address where you want it shipped.

I took out my Leatherman tool (the file) and smoothed the rough spots on the reverse of the rail. I didn't know if you owned tools to fix the rough spots or not. Then, I reblackend the areas. It looks sharper now.

Hey! I saw your pic in the Faces From THR! What make jet is that? I love jets, but am anything BUT versed in them. Hope that rail is working out well.
