I need a mainspring for my Model 1836 (dated 1844) AH Waters Flint Pistol.

Or any direction, where to find or have one made.
V shape with a screw hole at top.

I see Dixie has one of these guns for sale and an assortment of repro parts but I see no mainspring, however if you were to get in touch with them I bet they would be accomodating and fix you up with something that would be close.

For years I thought Dixie was in the catalog business. They never had a product when I tried to order. They always had a new catalog though. They ever get any better?

LOL. Try ordering their Uberti stainless target model 1858. I have only heard rumor of folks getting theirs. I never managed to get one in months of trying. They do seem to have *most* of the stuff I order though.

Found Mainspring

Correct part number from Dixie is TS0907, $19.50. With a little Dremmel, file & polish it works like a dream. For the archives,I will post again on longevity.
