 I have 357 stainless lever from Marlin. I've had it for a couple of months and took it to the range for the first time today. I didn't get a single round through it! The action locked open on the first round. I was using 38's. My Rossi will feed both fine. I wasn't able to get it unloaded until I got home. Got it back together and worked the action a few dozen times and decided to try it again. I loaded and ejected (didn't shoot because I was in my man cave) a various amount of rounds (4-7) several times. I used 357 and 38 seperately and mixed and then it happened again. It again happened on a 38 but I don't think that using 38's is the problem. It seemed to me that it didn't properly bring the round into position out of the tube and that for whatever reason caused the jam. I stopped running the rounds through because I noticed several very light indentations on the primers.

Any ideas on what the heck is going on. If you have a Marlin 357 and run a round through is there any mark on the primer?

Kevin,
Check to see if you have an authorized Marlin repair dealer near you. If you do take it to him. If you don't, call Marlin and tell them the problem.
I have the same gun in blue and you should not be getting any marks on the primer unless the trigger is pulled. It sounds as though you have more than one problem with your rifle and instead of paying someone to fix them, let Marlin fix them under the warranty.

The only problem I have ever had is with Blazer Aluminum

Everything else works great.

Make sure that the very small screw that holds the loading gate cover in position is tight. Mine (30-30) did that when I was up a tree in the middle of nowhere. Couldn't fix it till I got home. Ruined a hunting trip.
