I will be shooting this as a 45 Colt, 454 Casull, and 460 S&w.
I am looking to do some plinking loads at about 1000fps and also hot. Upwards of about 2000.
Does anyone have any experience and data for these?
I will be shooting from a 460V and a Ruger Alaskan. Possibly a lever 454 if I can eventually find one.

I would look for the Lyman reloading manual that is for lead, all my old manuals have sections for lead but I think the Lyman is a little more specific. Another choice is the bullet manufactures website and your powder manufactures site, Before I load anything new I like to get at least those 2 references and a couple from my manuals to compare. I don't trust "internet" loads without verifying them because it is easy to type an incorrect powder, weight, length etc.

In my experience, unless it is gas checked, plain lead will not shoot well in the .460 once you get past mouse fart loads. Mouse fart is relative. While 1000 FPS is relatively fast for .45 Colt, it is barely coming out of the barrel of a .460. Weight wise, 230gr is quite light for all three. With my .460, I've come to the conclusion to just use one load......my best shooting hunting load. Difference in POI from POA just varies too much when swithching from light bullets to heavy and from mouse fart to legitimate magnum velocities.

If you are going to shoot Lead ... By all means pick up a copy of the " Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook 4th Edition " .
So much more information and its all about lead projectiles and proper powders .

You are asking for a lot of information and you want dependable , tested and published info for those cartridges ... trust me on this .

Does this book cover 45 colt, 454, and 460 that are 340 grains and above?

45 Colt goes to 300gr. 230 gr goes to about 1000 fps.

454 Casull starts at 255gr. 1650 fps is about max. The heavier bullets go slower.

460 data only goes to 325gr. The data shows about 800~1000 fps with Trail Boss powder. Other powders go a lot faster, and may be able to be downloaded.

45 Colt --- 160gr to 300gr

454 Casull --- 255gr to 325gr (only three listings)

460 S&W --- 255gr to 325gr

Some of the bullets shown would use gas checks.
