Hi, first of this is my first post here so I hope I'm in the right spot. I have a few questions I would like answeres but first a little bit about where I'm coming from. I'm a pretty good rifle shot but have only recently started getting into handguns and that's where my problems start. I have had handguns for years but never really shot them much but am comfortable with there operation and being safe with them. I have two .22s, a 1911 .45, and a 9mm that I want to use for carry purposes. Now for my questions. 1. What are the similarities and differences between rifle and pistol shooting? 2. Are there any good books or articles for a starting pistol shooter? 3. Finally I had my 9mm out shooting last week and had some verticel stringing, about a 4-5 inch string at about 10 yards. It was all in line with the center of the target. What would cause something like that? I'm thinking it must be something that I'm doing but need to know where to start looking so I can work on it. 4. Am I better starting off with the smaller or larger caliber? Thanks in advance for the advice.
