With the ranges closed for the next month or so I need some help on a pellet pistol for backyard shooting. I shoot mostly 9mms so I’m looking for a semi auto type pistol. Probably co2 and with a mag capacity of 10 or so. 10 to 15 yards accurate and $400 or under, and suggestions are greatly appreciated. I have a Gamo Compact that is 15 or so years old and it’s great but want something that is a semi and doesn’t require cocking

Gamo PT-85. About the size of a P226. DA/SA trigger mechanism with reciprocating slide. Pellets only, eight in a disk on each end of a "magazine stick" inserted in the grip bottom (and flipped when each end runs out.)

Gamo PT-80. A little smaller, about the size of a Beretta PX4 Compact. Same mechanism, minus the reciprocating slide action.

Gamo PT-25. About the size of a PP or PPK. Probably good for self-defense practice if normally carrying a similar firearm. I've never shot this one yet.

I think there is actually a P226 model, probably made by Umarex, I saw online recently.

Truth is, there are scads of CO2-powered replicas of modern and older guns out there now. The SiG "We The People" 1911, with its aged-appearance, looks very nice. It runs about $100. The others above all run a lot less. For what you're asking it to do, I don't think you could spend $400 unless you're buying three or four guns (or more) if you wanted to. CO2-powered auto-pistol replicas just don't get up there in price.

Sig P365 (bb only, but nice fun replica to shoot)

Also +1 to what MedWheeler said about so many other ones way under your price max. Go to Pyramyd Air and look around, and you'll get the fever for sure!

OP, I’m in the same situation; been working remotely for 5 weeks now and I’m primarily a handgun shooter. I’ve pulled out what I had & have added a few more for lunchtime backyard plinking. The following two are CO2 blowback action.

The SIG P320 is the same size as the original full size 9mm (not the same weight) & has 20 round pellet mags; the mag in the pic is opened up to show the ”chain drive” (I have one 30 rd mag that came with it). I get about 90 good shots from one CO2 cartridge, & about 20 more pitiful shots beyond that. I think it’d shoot a 2”-3” group at 30’ if I could do my part.

I got the P365 & am glad to hear (& see) that the size duplicates the 9mm version. Being a smoothbore BB shooter, it’s accuracy is about a 6” to 8” spread at 30’. And I get about 100 rounds from a CO2 cartridge.

The others I’ve added aren’t replicas of modern handguns. It’s a bucket if fun to step out on the patio and shoot about 20 minutes at lunch.
