Need to configure my 1300 defender for dove...

My 1300 has a 7 round capacity, and an 18 inch barrel. I have just purchased a 28 inch 1300 barrel w/modified winchoke for dove hunting early next month.
Now Ive discovered that the defenders mag tube may be too long to work with the new barrel. What are my options to get a functional gun for this trip? Where can I find shorter mag tubes, and are they easy to switch out?

But on the other hand looking at the bolt lock up, and thinking about the after market forends for sale for long recoil type shotguns...... and for that matter what really holds the mag in that frame!

Just make sure that it will only take 2 shells in the magezine for the dove hunt! With that 7 shell length Mag, YOU WILL get to meet every game warden within miles! And any other LEO the Game Department wants to hire for the season!

Better off getting a second gun----see if you can't return the barrel.

if you like the 1300 as I do, they are getting really low in price as they have been phased out. New 28" modifieds I've seen as low as $249

IMO, getting another 1300 is the better choice. Luckily, they comes cheaper than Perazzis.
