I have 480 rounds of "brown bear" 1223 ammo and no AR. Not about to buy at these prices either. hows the best way to sell it, and what is it worth?

Local pawn shop is asking a dollar a round, but doubt you'd get that. I did sell 200 rounds this weekend for $100 to a buddy.

I ran an ad on craigslist to trade .223 ammo for Pmags, had a ton of replies but I didn't make any deals.

can you give link to your add

(what do you have to trade)

1223 ammo?:D

It depends on how much of a profit you want to make. At pre panic prices this ammo was in the neighborhood of 7.50 a box. I would expect that you could get $15.00 a box.

24 boxes of ammo at $15.00= $360. You could post here and state that you want actual shipping or just charge a flat rate to send it UPS Ground. Just make sure you mark the ORMD markings on the box.

480 rounds isn't that much, could probably just sell it at the next gun show if any are coming to your area soon. Just walk around with a sign taped to your back with what you're offering.

I played with the idea of trading some of my .223 stash for a .357 lever action. Been wanting one for some time. I'll probably keep it though. To hard to replace right now.

I had some 30rd PMAGS on Craigslist and it kept being reported. I see them on there so I am not for sure why. Maybe I did not have the price high enough so they thought it was a scam because I was not gouging the price. :what:

List it on Armslist.com. That way you can keep it local and it will be advertised to firearms enthusiasts. They have an ammo section that you can list it under. It is also free.

Another vote for texas gun trader .com and armslist.com. Deal local in cash!

I once saw a very intriguing ad on CL. It was something like "Hard case for 30-06 rifle, including contents". Don't know how long it lasted, but still an outstanding effort.
