Can someone tell me what the difference between Siglite Night Sites and Contrast Sites? I also need to know if $700.00 is a good deal on a new P220R Two-Tone SAO.

Great Price

I think the site difference is that the Sig Night Sites are *2 dot, white/glow-green (green in the dark, white for day use) that will glow 24/7 for aprox 8 - 10yrs.. vs standard shooting sites, no glow IIRC.

700 bucks for a NIB P220R Two-Tone, SAO, is a great price and, having a P220R DA/SA, myself, for about a year now with just over 1000 perfect rounds down-range, I wish I had an SAO trigger, (knowing what I know now in that particular Sig model) locked and cocked, Sig, like what you may get, IMO, the best of all worlds, including price..

*got these sites with my P220.. very good sites.

Let us know what ya get,

Ls

Ps.. welcome to the THR forums..

The Sig Night Sights are the standard 1 front dot, 2 rear dot night sights in green. Some models like the Blackwater have different color night sights, while others like the SCT ones have a front TFO sight.

Sig Contrast sights are their standard front dot and rear bar sight - meaning you just align the front dot on top of the rear bar. These are not night sites.

FWIW I like the 3-dots over the contrast.

And the 220 is a great gun, went to the gun store and looked at a 220ST, if it would have been ANY cheaper than $999 I would have bought it right then and there...now I remember why I took my CA-HSC card out of my wallet. :)

So that being said $700 sounds like a good price to me.
