Fella's;

I used the search function, but didn't find too many threads dedicated to the Neos, although there are many mentions. Therefore, I'm asking for owners of Beretta Neos pistols to comment here. With that said, if you don't actually own a Neos, please don't comment.

I'm certainly interested in getting one, but would like to query the combined on board owners about their experiences with the Neos. Good, bad, or indifferent, I'd like to hear what you have to say about the gun.

For what it's worth, this wouldn't be my first, or only .22 pistol, just my first Neos.

Thanks for the information, I appreciate it.

I don't have one but I'm going to comment anyways...

I was in the same boat, trying to find information on them and there is suprising little out there. Other people that owned them on other forums seemed to be happy with them, but most were displeased with the accuracy of them.

I've decided to just get a Ruger MK instead of the Neos.

I did get a chance to watch a guy on the range a few weeks ago plinking with one. It never jammed and he was using some goofy cheap brand of ammo I've never heard of. It was in a purple or pink and yellow box and the fired rounds smelled like hot garbage. He couldn't hit squat with it at 15 yards but in the pistols defence the guy was 70 and shaking like a constipated chiuahua.

Best .22 pistol out there. My wife saw one, thought it looked funny, but when she picked it up, she loved it. Immediately bought it, found mags on sale for $10 each and bought a bunch.

So far, over 5000 rounds through it with NO CLEANING AND NO OIL - that wouldn't be impressive except that there have been NO MALFUNCTIONS yet either (except for Remington Golden Bullet ammo having bad primers, but that's the ammo, not the gun). I broke down and oiled it after the last range session, but haven't fired it since, and didn't clean it.

Disassembly is very easy, as is reassembly, but why bother? Accuracy is good, but the rear sight adjustment can get loose and change on you if you don't use loctite on the screw when you get it adjusted correctly.

My wife and I both love the pistol. I'm going to get my own, just cause. In my opinion, there is no reason but personal preference to own any other .22 semiauto pistol. If you don't like the ergonomics, you don't like the ergonomics - otherwise, this is the best pistol out there.

I have one. Good little plinker.

Very, very simple to take apart and put back together. I read about and looked at the Ruger MK dis-assembly/re-assembly and said, "Why bother?"

I have seen people shoot one more accurately than I shoot one. The higher end Ruger MKs may be more accurate - the ones my friends shoot are notably more es pensive than my Neos.

I like mine. :)

I have 11,000 rounds, from various manufacturers, through my 4.5" Neos and it's been great. The extractor broke shortly after I purchased it, but after a quick trip back to Beretta it's been fine. Any accuracy issues have been mine and not the pistol.

Breakdown for cleaning is simple and it cleans up quite nicely.

I would buy another without hesitation.

I do know the design is patterned after the old High Standard Duramatic .22 pistol, except they added a lot of pot metal and plastic.

I have one with a red dot on it. Fun little plinker. Accruate enough for my needs, eats everything I've fed it. The angle on the grip is pretty sharp, so not everyone likes it. If you're not putting anything on the rail, it's kind of big and goofy looking.

Definately a good addition to my .22 collection. Although the MKII has a better trigger and is a little more accurate, this gun cleans easier and is ready to mount a red dot on. With the red dot, it is a scream!
Got the 6" Inox, regular trigger. It makes most of the range trips with me along with the MKII. All kinds of ammo, I shoot the cheap bulk pack stuff.
If you buy one, I don't think you will regret it.

Bottom line, I would buy the Ruger or Buckmark first then, add this gun.

I really like mine! Purchased it new a number of years back and have since shot a few thousand rounds through it. Don't remember it ever jamming on the el-cheapo CCI Blazer 22LR ammo I feed it.

As others here have mentioned, it's very, very easy to detail-strip for a deep-down, lemon-fresh cleaning after an extended range session. Beretta really did their homework when they designed this gun. The heavy factory trigger was considerably lightened through the replacement of the stock sear plunger spring with a cut-down AR15 detent plunger spring; the trigger now breaks cleanly at approximately 2.5 lbs., and it's a very easy pistol to consistently shoot accurately.

Oh, just one thing to add. Don't get it for the carbine kit option. They've already delayed that several years and I have very little faith it will ever appear.

Sweet little pistol. I would highly recommend it. I have a cheap little holographic sight mounted on the rail and my kids absolutely love shooting it.

I agree...great little plinker for everyone. I have a cheapo red dot on mine and its very accurate and incredibly reliable!

for the money you cannot lose!

I've had one for a couple of years. Nice little gun. Accurate enough, very reliable too. Much better than the S&W 22A I have.

Have one my cuz has one we both like them. Not a tack driver but under $275 what do you expect. Fits small and large hands. The saftey is a little PITA due to is location. On the saftey where it is you will know if it is on by the feel of it digging in your hand when it is on. Other than the saftey I have no gripes. I would buy another for a plinker or woods gun.

I've had the 6" Inox DLX model for a little over a year. Put a couple of thousand rounds through it. Can't say that I've had any real problems with it. A few that didn't fire but believe that was cheap ammo. Maybe one stovepipe but I'm not reallys sure about that at this point. Easy to take down and clean, $10 mags at CDNN, can't really fault it.

I have one. Standard model, 6" barrel. It's been good. The only malfunctions have been due to bad ammo. I like the optics rail being the full length of the barrel. I was able to mount a red dot a little further forward than most people would, because that's where I wanted it. It's accurate enough , although the trigger is a little stiff. Ive seen references to DIY trigger jobs for the Neos that are supposed to do wonders, but I don't shoot it enough to bother. It's not the gun, it's just that .22lr doesn't do much for me. I'm sure I'd shoot it more if I could shoot more often, but as it is with my range trips being infrequent as they are I prefer to shoot the bigger calibers. Oddly, I've been trying to sell my Neos for that reason, and for a ridiculously low price for a long time and noone has taken it. As far as "pot metal" issue goes, I would not say there was any bad metallurgy about it. Seems like a great solid gun to me.

Oh, one thing I might mention.. Although it is very easy to strip and clean, it does have some real sharp edges and I have actually cut myself doing it.

Heres mine.
