The ATF has reinstated the NICS exemption for CCW permit holders in Nevada.

Part of this sucks though. It only applys to permits issued after July 1 2011. So those of us that have current permits are out of luck until it is time to renew. Why?? The state will not let you renew until 120 days before the expiration date on the permit. My permit doesn't expire until 2013 so I am SOL and will continue to have to pay the background check fee until then.
The permits here are for 5 years. I feel bad for those that got their permits in June 2011. they will have to wait until 2016 until they can take advantage of this law..
