Well, back to gun related stuff.
I dug out a French poky thing. And yes, I have a rifle to fit it. I got it at a pawn shop after talking them down to $40. To bad it didn’t have a sheath.

Almost everyday. I still don’t like working on vehicles due to the smell.
This was taken on the third day. You can see my M16A2 in front of me.

This was taken two hours after the ceasefire was called. You can see the barrel of my M16A2 on my right, but can’t see the Iraqi made AK that I was holding in my left hand.

All I can see is that out of regulation mustache. Semper Fi. LOL. I grew one quite similar in Korea, the Company Commander let it go till we were due to head back to Okinawa.

Here’s something that most of y’all haven’t seen. German k98 chamber cleaning tool.

Only two of them are marked, but all are made of Beech.

To use, you just put a patch in the slot and put in the chamber and turn.

Sarco still has them buried on their website, albeit without the valuable waffenamt markings. It actually works pretty well with most bolt actions around .30 caliber as a chamber cleaner. It is a gentle way of using JB bore bright to polish a chamber.

I carried an M60 in Korea. Don't ever remember seeing that practice ammo. Maybe it was a Marine Corps thing. I spent 4 hours behind that gun with live ammo in the tray at MOP Level IV in 1983. A Chinese fighter pilot had defected, and there was enough confusion the whole country went on alert. They even opened up the AA on him between Inchon and Seoul. I poured the piss out of that MOP suit and threw it away.
