Saturday morning I went to another firearms auction, lately for me this has been a waste of time. Looked things over at the preveiw toke some notes.

Surprisingly enough I bought 4.

1. .32 Safety Hammerless 1st Model with orginial box Serial #74022.

3. .32 Regulation Police Pre War Serial #478273. Condition 99%

4. 38/44 Pre War Outdoorsmen Serial #55537. This almost made me cry :(. It numbers in all the right places, even the magnas. The sad thing is something got spilled on the barrel, toke the finish clean off.

Should I get the barrel re-blued? Thanks for looking.

Did you buy it to keep it or did you buy it to turn a buck at somepoint? (If you are trolling auctions I'm guessing it could go either way). If you are going to keep it and want it to look nice, re-blue it. If you are just going to sell it, do it ASAP and make your buck and let the next guy decide.

Lovely. I would have it refinished - if I could trust the smith to make a perfect match to the rest of the gun. Then I would cherish it for the rest of my natural life. :p

great finds, i'd say that makes up for all the time you wasted at other auctions

I would only have that re-blued if it's done by S&W. In reality it's not being "re-blued" just blued since the original manufacturer is doing the work. it will look very good too because S&W still does wonderful work. (even though the bluing method is different than when that revolver was originally manufactured)

Nice guns...

Wow nice finds at the auction! I especially liked the look of the blued .38 Safety Hammeless with the factory pearl grips.

Are you actually going to shoot any of these or are they investments?

I would have to try them all.
