It’s a forged stainless frame. I wouldn’t think frame strength would be an issue. There are plastic guns that handle 10mm.
Plastic absorbs. Steel doesn't. The early blue delta elites definitely cracked frames. I have one. My later (2005 ish maybe) stainless delta has been fine.
I have more 10mm 1911 than 45 BUT I don't care for 10 in a 1911 anymore. I'm not selling any.... but for the capacity you may as well carry a 6 shot 44 mag and not worry about it IMHO. 16 rounds of 10mm in a Glock is a lot of gun. (which has been produced the entire time 10mm has been produced and did far more time as a duty gun in 10 than any other). Having had my 220 10mm for a while ive came to the same conclusion as 1911. It does nothing a 6 inch Glock 10 doesn't do for the same weight and more capacity and has done for me for 20 years now. Nothing glamorous about a Glock. But for 10mm I feel it's the platform to have.
