The best duck blind I ever hunted out of was an old wood hog feeder we dragged up to the edge of a large farm pond.
The farm pond was about 1/2 mile from a large Federal reservoir so there was lots of ducks passing by all the time.
No attempt was made to camouflage it in any way. Just left it weathered old barn wood.
We built a bench seat across the back and hinged one side so a swift kick would drop the whole front flat on the ground.
Warm and comfy, and the ducks thought it was the same old hog feeder that had always been there!
We often had mallards land in the decoys, swim over, and walk up the bank to see if any corn had leaked out lately!!
