New Cabela's box turkey call

I picked up a new turkey call this afternoon after making a stop at the Cabela's store. It is a Cabela's SLT Boat Paddle box call, with dark wood and very nice. I can't wait to see the look on that gobbler's face when he realizes he has been fooled. This call sounds better than most hens. Anyone else getting ready for turkey season?

I haven't hunted turkeys for many years but still get the calls out and practice. I guess the calling got in my blood.

I stay ready for turkeys. One year I hunted 21 out of 28 days in two states. That is about as close as I have ever come to divorce.

Yeah, it's getting about that time. I saw today that I did not get drawn for any WMA quota here in GA. Hopefully, I'll get drawn for the wildlife refuge. I've got plenty of national forest and non-quota WMA around, but those quota hunts sure are nice.

What kinda birds you got on the North Platte?
