New copper Solvent?

I purchased some M-pro 7 cleaner and am impressed with it. It reminds me of the old "Fantastic" cleaner.
When I find some copper streaks 'll get to test it's copper solvent ability.
Anymore, there are so many products out there, it's hard to keep them straight.

I use Mpro-7 for all of my "light" cleaning duties, but copper? Never had any luck with it taking out any copper at all. Shines it up real nice.

For copper I use Patch-out with Accelerator and/or JB Bore paste for the really difficult parts.

If you think you're getting any of the copper out with MPro-7 run a bore-scope down your barrel and look again.

This barrel was originally cleaned with only MPro-7. The after portion is after using JB Bore paste.

ETA: I actually wish I'd never purchased a bore-scope, because I learned that none of my barrels were actually clean. Ignorance was bliss.

How are the foaming solvents, I haven't kepted up to date on them much since that sweets has lasted me almost 20 years. Is there anything safer to use time wise, I'm always afraid of bore damage. Any good tests out there on different brands.

Im really impressed with the Hoppes elite foaming cleaner. The #9 foaming cleaner works better on carbon. I did my milsurps yesterday with each. Going back and forth with the 2 cleaners. I kept going until there was no reaction from the cleaners. The bores show less frosting.

MPro-7 is good for copper if it's not really caked on there. Hoppes Elite is good too. RemClean is good for polishing out the last stubborn bits of copper or fouling from a bore after the solvents have given up. Be sure to shake it so the polish gets into suspension.
