I have stumbled upon something rather interesting: the new 7.6 Creedmoor.

From the article:
"In creating the new 7.6 Creedmoor, the product engineers were primarily concerned with accuracy, reliablity, and compatibility. In a brilliant marketing stroke, the 7.6 Creedmoor’s designers crafted this cartridge to be 100% compatible with existing .308 Winchester and 7.62×51 rifles"

What say you? It sure sounds splendid to me!

Sounds good to me, a friend was describing how he hot loaded .308s for a smidgen flatter trajectory.
The Creedmoor headstamp would have to make it better.

I await the 6.35mm Creedmoor.

I want a 257 Creedmoor, based on a necked down 7x57 cartridge for reliable feeding and extraction.

I didn’t dig around much this year yet, busy at work today, but I don’t think anything is going to top the production quality and effort put into the bullet camera ammo from last year!

I'm waiting for the 7X64 Creedmoor cartridge, now under development in Leutonia.
The ballistics are an impressive 3000FPS with a 150 grain Nosler ballistic Silvertip bullet.
The longer cartridge length promises to provide higher velocities with less chamber pressure.
And, while it shares nearly identical ballistics and case dimensions with the .270 Winchester, and may be fired in any .270 Winchester rifle, it is a vastly superior round thanks to proprietary Leutonian nano-technology.

Hail Leutonia.
Not just about Polka, cabbage rolls, and coffee any more.
Soon to be a world leader in advanced sporting rifle cartridge nano-technology.

Loved that one...
Buddies and I argued about it for at least a week

They put a 1-7 barrel on there and I'll buy it.... ...

Another 300 Whelen aficionado here. But, since this is a Creedmoor, I'm going to have to get one! Especially if it's an improvement on the Ford Freestar of cartridges. It's like putting a Hemi in a Minivan.:neener:

So, I guess you just don't like an entirely new cartridge, that fully replicates an existing one? How bizarre... ;)

Sorry, they don't produce rifles there yet. They are just working on nano-technology cartridge development and ballistic lederhosen.

Effective ballistic Lederhosen has been a long time coming. I for one will not set foot in the Kiwi Tent at Oktoberfest again until it has been proven out. Thank God someone is on it!
