Nice system. But if holding the button takes all the tension off the blade, as it appears while closing in the video, to the point where a wrist flick would open it, it would be construed as a gravity knife in certain states.

I have a Stanley knife like that and I don't carry it for that same reason.

I'm assuming CRKT has prevented the gravity knife concern, but until I get my hands on one I can't say positively.

Isn't that basically the same thing as the Gerber Paul knife. Those have been around for about 40 years.

i like the blade shape. what's the price.
Blade HQ has them on pre-order for $120, expected to ship in a few days. Sadly, the blade is 4116 at 55-56 HRC, and the knife weighs 6.3 ounces. And it's made in China. There's no way I'd pay that when the made in USA Spyderco Manix 2 XL is available for $23 more with an S30V blade. That Manix is basically the same size, has the same handle material, and is an ounce lighter.
