I was in need of a 9mm after giving my Glock 17 to my nephew. My wife is starting to take shooting much more seriously but is a little recoil sensitive, and a 9mm is about the most she can comfortably handle, and my revolvers are just too heavy for her to hold comfortably. I have been wanting to try a CZ 75 for a while now, I generally prefer metal frames to polymer, but I had read about the P-07 and it had had all the features I prefer, and being polymer it was light enough for my wife. I also wanted something non striker fired. I don't have anything against them really, just a matter of personal preference. I found one at my LGS for a great price. I really couldn't believe how affordable these are, and I really like the design. The trigger is just awesome and the low bore axis makes it a pleasure to shoot. The ergonomics are great too with plenty of texture on the grip, but still remaining very comfortable for my wife. We took it to the range and put 200 rounds of Federal 115 grain FMJ and Hi-Shok JHP. This pistol performed flawlessly and is very, very accurate. I am normally a 1911 and revolver guy but this gun works very well for me, and is a very comfortable shooter for my wife. If you are like me and prefer a hammer to a striker, I highly recommend that you consider the P-07. It is a fantastic gun and a terrific value in my humble opinion. The only negative is that magazines are around $45 each, hopefully there will be after market ones out soon. I am sure this gun has been talked about before, but I wanted to share my experience with it.
