wait, does this ban all "military grade" weapons? Or just ones that America has sold to other countries? Cause mosins are "military grade", so are mausers. As are single shot muskets.
From what I read - it has no direct impact on the CMP. Of course others will argue it.
Disagree -- almost no-one in the mainstream media will report that truth. They are reporting the talking points -- miltary-grade weapons being kept off the street.a) it won't kill the CMP. it only stops their sale of rifles. they might possibly have to seek some additional funding, but it's not like they're dead. they still get income from the matches they host.
b) it's an extremely pathetic last ditch effort to "do something" after he was totally shut down by the voters. he may regret it as half the media will point out that he's done nothing more than stopped antiques that no one ever uses in crimes
The problem is, if they weren't sold out before, they certainly are now. Another gov edict driving reactive demand. I bet CMP was completely cleaned out today, regardless of this being misinformation.
Ohhhh, not that crap again! It's clear that this administration will stoop to new lows to reduce private firearm ownership and the executive orders are only a precursor to the UN Small Arms Treaty that Obama will sign in a few days. The UN treaty, if passed by the Senate, will essentially give the UN control over private ownership of firearms in this country.
Sigh.InkEd said:...His over-use of executive order to simply do things he wants to do, when the people and other elected officials have already expressed and solidified opinions to the contrary. President Obama wants to seemingly govern by "King's Decree" rather than suggesting things and allowing congress to represent and reinterate the feelings of the people....
...His [Obama's] options are limited," Adam Winkler, constitutional scholar at the UCLA School of Law, said by phone Friday. "He can seek to better enforce existing federal law, but he can't act contrary to existing federal law....
When will 50 year old M-16s (converted to semi auto only of course) go into the CMP inventory?
