Something about a N frame, 6 shot 38spl ....
Soft shooting

It's closer to an L-frame, but yeah, soft shooting. I spoke to someone who worked at Astra when these were made, and the only difference between the .38 and .357 cylinders was which reamer they used. That being the case I've been known to put some .38-44 loads through it and it still isn't bad!

When they were floating around on Gunbroker , I should have picked one up ... just had a duh-huh thought process ;-) .... I saw a couple at a LGS .. they looked new besides a bit of holster wear ...
Easily reamed for 357 if wanted .. personally.. 38 would be perfect
 
Are there any gunsmiths known for their work on Astras?

I got one of those surplus ones, too, but it needs a little TLC.

Those grips are gorgeous! Did you bob the hammer, too, or did it come to you that way?
