New grips for the SRH

Had these fitted to my .44Mag Super Redhawk by Zane Thompson of Lone Star Custom Grips. They turned out fantastic! Still don't know what the wood is, picked the blank out of the box. Goes a long way towards curing the SRH's ugly.

I need to shoot him an email and see if he ever found out what it was. I know the blank was very hard and dense.

Put a few rounds through it yesterday. Some 265gr Lehigh handloads, Federal 280gr A-frames and my usual 1200fps cast loads. It’s extremely comfortable. The Federals felt like plinking loads. Need to put together some heavy cast loads to try with the new grips.
