saw a post about this forum on TFL forum so i thought i would check ya'll out to. never can have to many places to talk about somehting you love and find tons of helpfull people full of helpfull input.

anyway my name is mike and i am in no way shape or form an expert but i love to shoot and loves guns and have since my dad let me shoot his colt 1911 when i was 5 and been hooked every since.

hope to meet some great folks over here like i have already over at TFL

thanks for the welcome guys! im sure ill see alot of the same faces here as i do on tfl and thats great. i also hope to meet some new faces aswell.

thats really the only place i go lol i was going to try and find an indoor range but the guys over at American are great people and for a few bucks to shoot all ya want you cant beat it ;)

59 gun range (indoor range on 59 north of the loop) is open later and might be cheaper. It's no good for rifles though.

do you have the name of the place or a number? i work right down the street from there (59@west airport) if they open early i could go right after work (i work nights and get off at 7am) that would be a great way to let off some stress after work :D

that sounds like a great idea to me, i would be up for it. all i know is i dont want to have to organize it lol i organized a mustang owners poker run for this saturday and its killing me trying to keep up with all the details and people that want to go, very time consuming

Houston

Where is everyone buying guns from???? Shows or Stores?? What shops??

_______________

I usually get most of my stuff from Carters Country, Collectors, and Gander Mountain. Mostly stores, the gun show here is pretty small, and nothing good.

Welcome to THR from another H Town resident!

I'm still looking for the perfect gun store in Houston! I have yet to find it! Reliant Center usually has the biggest gun show around here. It's put on by the Houston Gun Collecter's Assoc.

I second the M&G proposal!

I was looking at Carters country in spring, they are pretty high , I still am surprised that Houston being as big as it is, doesnt have a high volume gun store.

I have posted this before, not to complain all the time, but I could buy guns cheaper from a store in Boston that sells in this format.
