All,
I was out shopping for a new shotgun after giving up on my CZ720 (it just patterned horribly, to the right of POA and tighter then a tick on a hound dawgs ear) and saw a HK FP6 for sale for $300 at a local dealer. Well I liked it alot and the action was short and fast. Comes with three chokes, green hivis front bar sight (not a big fan but I will try it), an oversized safety and oversized action release button which are great for lefties frustrated with the little pin they use as a safety button on 870s etc etc.
I hemmed an hawed seeing as Xmas is around the corner, went back the next day and it was gone. So to gunbroker I go and lo and behold a dealer in Pa (Tanners Sports Center) has one for auction starting at $219!!!! Well I take advantage of this and win the bidding at the starting price. Ship my MO off and within 5 days I have my new Shotgun in my hands after the $30 transfer fee.
Gun is fantastic in construction, action is so nice, short and slick. The finish is a durable matte black, synthetic stock with a rubber recoil ppd attached. I hope to get out and bust some clays over the next weekend.
I just read where HK dropped their Fabarm relationship. That does not worry me to much but I would like to find a 20 inch smooth barrel and mag extender for this weapon. Anyone have any ideas where I might find one?
