Hey gang! (I posted this on TFL as well)

Well my wife talked Santa into bringing me one of the presents I wanted the most for Christmas this year, the new i-Shot MODular range bag! I have been using an old laptop bag that served quite well but just did not hold everything I need for the range.

My wife ordered it in "Pistol" configuration directly from the i-Shot web site for $95.00 in black with gray accents.

I decided to get it ready for the range tomorrow, so I thought I would put it to the ultimate test.

Here is what I decided needed to go with me to the range.
6 handguns (Sig P226 not pictured), 5 spare mags, 4 revolver speedloaders, 2 semi-auto magazine speedloaders, 2 sets of muffs, 2 sets of shooting glasses, stapler, staples, 5 holsters, 300 rounds of 9mm, 100 rounds of .40, 150 rounds of .38sp, a brinck of .22 short, and some printed targets.

First thing I did was to pack the ammo in the removable inner bag that can be taken out and carried to the range if you dont want to take your full bag.

Then I packed up the guns in the 3 included pistol rugs and placed them in the bag on both sides of the inner "ammo" bag.

Next were the the extra mags, speedloaders, stapler and staples which fit perfectly in the compartment designed to hold extra magazines.

Then the 5 holsters went into a zippable compartment inside the bag...

I then placed my cell phone into the built in cell phone holder, and 2 sets of ear muffs and 2 sets of shooting glasses into one of the zippable compartments at either end of the bag

And here is the i-Shot MODular bag all zipped up ready to go...

I probably will RARELY take this much stuff to the range with me at one time, but I wanted to see if the bag could handle it. All the zippers closed with no straining and the bag weighed a good 45 lbs. after I loaded it up.

Needless to say I am VERY impressed with this bag and will probably never need another one!

I highly reccomend this bag to anyone looking for a range bag!

WOW nice bag...

you said in your post that your wife ordered it in "pistol" config.

meaning that there is a rifle one as well?

VERY cool bag...

Unfortunately there is no "rifle" configuaration, only "pistol" and "revolver"...

The really cool thing about this bag is that you can buy additional accessories for the bag to configure it exactly how I want if my shooting habits change.

here is the link to their website so you can see which one might work for you!

Great Post

Thats a beautiful bag. I like the stuff inside too!

They are nice bags, I had one but they collapse on themselves too easily. I found myself having to dig for stuff too often. Got a Green Mountain, while it's bit more money it's very nice and solid. Tac Force bags are less and very nice, have one of their discreet cases. Heavy duty, solid and well built. Can run with the $100+ bags all day for half as much.

My wife gave me one of the Revolver Range Bags for Christmas, last year. It came with three small inner bags, a mag panel, and a moonclip/speedloader panel. I love that bag! It is, without a doubt, the best range bag I've ever seen.

One of the clips from the strap broke earlier this year (I had it loaded with a load similiar to mosttoyswins). I called i-SHOT and exchanged several PM's with Helmie here on THR (member name: i-SHOT). I asked him about getting a replacement clip and about the cost of ordering an extra panel. Helmie took the time to dig up the original order and send me a complete strap, with the proper pad to match the color of my bag, and an extra revolver panel, free of charge. Needless to say, I was highly impressed with the attention Helmie gives to taking care of his customers.

This past Friday, my wife gave me a Khaki S.E.R.T. Tactical Carbine Case for a birthday present. Apparently, they must have recognized the name, because they included a free i-SHOT hat AND another revolver panel for my range bag! If that's not good customer service, I don't know what is. He remembered my name a full year later! That's impressive.

i-SHOT has a customer for life here. I will always sing their praises to anyone who cares to hear, and maybe even some who don't. In this era of Super China-Marts and Instant Gratification Shopping, it's refreshing to see that some businesses haven't forgotten that they rely on taking care of their customers in order to flourish.

i-Shot bag is great!
I have the tournament range bag, I've had it for about 2 years now, and find the only thing that can go wrong is if you pack it up with about 100 pounds in ammo, you can break a clip on the strap, if it's a plastic clip. I have since gotten a new strap free of charge, and havent broken it since.

and yes, they do make a rifle bag, the SERT systems carbine bag is way better than any other soft side case i have for my rifles and shotguns.
I love it, i can stack 2 10/22s in there or 2 ar15s. And they stay in there without whacking one another because of the velcro straps.

I fit all my shooting stuff in those bags when I'm off to competitions, and I think you get excellent service and prices from Mike at MLE shooting Supplies
