ANY OTHER TAKERS?

Sorry, I was waiting for my work schedule to come through. I will not be able to make it. I got to do some OT. :( Thanks for the invite though! Please keep me informed of any more shoots and I may make it to one yet! :)

After action report.....................

Here are the details;

Of course it was the usual 30 people saying they were coming and only about 15 showed. SodaPop, you know how that goes since you set up shoots on the PA side.

We have a "first ever" happen at this shoot. A shooter by the name of Ian shot the rope in half at 20 yards on the 4th shot! For those of you that still have not made it out to one of our shoots, you will not understand BUT to those of you who have been to our shoots, your probably saying NO WAY! He was using a .45 auto. Outlander, you almost made it.

We had great shooting during the pin shoot. Many that shot lost to others by mere seconds when trying to clear the pins.

At this event we shot clay pigeons for the first time. This will definitely be used at the next shoot. Five clays per shooter had to be shot and they had to fall to the ground in order to count. They were at different heights and the shooting was from 20 yards. All of the clay had to fall so if a little piece was hanging on, it did not count. We had a white paper background on the target board and when you hit the clays they left a burned look on the paper. Very cool.

The balloon shoot was also held for the first time and was a favorite to some. 5 ballons were left swaying in the wind tied down by fishing line at different heights and ranges. You had to clear all five with the best time.

And finally, we did the police qual. This is probably the last time we will do this. The time it takes to get it done is just too long. All shot extremely well for never shooting this before and everybody made the qualification score as per NJ Police regs.

All in all, everybody had a good time with great weather. New friendships were made and old ones reunited.

Thanks to all that showed up and helped to support the NJCSD and the Buckeye Gun Club. Without you, none of this could be possible.

For those of you that did not show up, you really missed a great time. I hope to see you at the next NJCSD shoot out!

What type of ammo was he using? Semi-wadcutters? We must know his secret! :)

Looks like a good time was had by all. I agree the police qual is very time-consuming. I'll try to make the next meet.
