I only wish I had your energy/enthusiasm, Jim. Keep up the good work!!!

Well it would seem that either condolences or congratulations are in order …

Of course I’ll go for the latter.

I am delighted that your many skills and experience in this field will see even wider use in the support of Gun Rights advocacy. Unfortunately they’re too few with you’re dedication.

Have at the S.O.B’s.

Bookmarked!

As we used to say when I lived in SF, Cool Beans, Man!

Congratulations on having a still-wider audience (the Legislature and your Blog, in addition to THR) . If anybody can talk sense to those numbsk - oops - legislators, you're the right man for the job.

Congratulations on making it to the big show... (I think?)

Ever read Cervantes Don Quixote? Something about tilting at windmills, I believe.

You have the touch and I wish you only the best of luck (you've already got the skills) in your quest.

Identifying those who are Pro and Con and working each side... a
Formidable Task Mr. March, keeping track of friends and worthy opponents, as it were.

How soon can you get the CA Constitution to include 2nd type wording? (LOL)(My guess would be the first of never on that one).

One step at a time Baba.

Congrats and continue to fight the good fight Jim.

Adios

Excellent work Jim; take the fight to the front lines.

One minor point the light blue links against a white background are a little hard to read.

Congrats, Jim

With a big sweeping tip of the hat....

But TonyB beat me to it. How about coming to Ohio & helping us out, too ? ? ?

Wow Jim.
You be a glutton for work.
Goodonya.

Re the blue links....really tough for me too.

Re the Cervantes ref....Quixote went among them and tilted at individual windmills. He might have done better by introducing the windmills to each other and standing back while they tilted among themselves. Then strike at the weakened winner.

Very cool! Congratulations. May as well get paid for something that you've been devoting so much time to anyway, can't beat that.

Jim will this give you better access to information that you have been seeking? This new job just might loosen a sphincter or two.

Great news Jim!

I will be sending you happy thoughts from Texas. Looks like you got to Sac 1 week after I got out. I'm up North for a bit before heading to the Alamao.

Give'em absolute hell.

"Blog" = "Web - log".

It's a specialized sort of program that allows somebody to create a "daily journal" online. Most are purely a broadcast with no feedback except EMail; I picked a system that allows a detailed comment discussion on each item I post. Others, like the system Clayton Cramer uses, don't allow that.

http://www.claytoncramer.com/weblog/blogger.html

This isn't a critique of Clayton - he's a historian and computer programmer, he isn't paid by his audience, and instant feedback isn't critical.

Basically, my blog'll be a place to go to get a daily feed on what goes on around here - "here" being the capitol. And if I mention some developing situation, if one of y'all has a clue on how to help, cool, sing out - you can post comments on any item. (So far there's also been a post by a grabber but that's OK, I can handle those politely enough.)

There's already three pro-gun lobbyists from three different orgs functioning up here. They're good guys, 'cept I disagreed with Ed Worley on one issue recently. But that's fairly minor - esp. playing "defense" against bad bills, Ed's the best there is.

The thing is, these three aren't very "approachable" by the public. Well, Sam Parades is pretty good, he at least publishes an EMail addy that gets to him via the Gun Owners of California site. Not surprising, as GOA/GOC is an "internet era org" and Larry Pratt's use of EMail ranges from good to masterful.

But detailed, TWO way communication to the central lobby, in near-realtime (or at least daily) isn't that common.

I think changing that is worth trying.
