Got my new M&P 9mm from Bud's last week and finally made it to the range today. It was just a quick session during lunch hour so I only put through 100 rounds of Blazer brass. All 100 went through without a hiccup.
Between me and my buddy, we had an XD-9, Sig P226, Ruger P89 and the M&P 9mm. In my opinion, the M&P felt the best and had the best trigger of the bunch. More importantly, we both shot it more accurately than any of the others even though it was the first time shooting an M&P for both of us.
My buddy is seriously considering trading his Ruger in on an M&P and he really likes his P89 (he can't afford both right now).
I put up a clean target, took aim and fired the first shot dead center in the bullseye. I'm not a great shot--this was the first time I had ever done that on the first trigger pull.
My accuracy after firing a few mags declined, but I know it was me as a short rest put me right back on target.
I'm really impressed with this gun so far. Hopefully I won't run into the magazine dropping issue that some have reported.
