I recently got back in to shooting after a 10 year hiatus and since I started working next door to a range. My first purchase 2 months ago was a Ruger Mark III Competition 6 7/8". After shooting it for a while, and getting a nice bonus at work I have been in the market for a nice 9mm pistol. During a recent excursion to my favorite shop for I happened to fondle a semi-compact, steel frame IWI baby eagle. After feeling the near perfect ergonomics and short crisp SA trigger pull, I snatched it up. I picked up my new BE wednesday. I got a matte black model with a 3.92" polygonal barrel and two 15 rd. mags brand new for $579. Not bad considering everything in my state (MD) is priced at retail or higher.

I ended up taking to my club the same day and putting 200 rounds through it. The first five shots were practically on top of each other at 25 feet. The trigger is a dream, the feel in my large hand is near ideal, and the dot sites are real nice and dead on as well. I put 200 rounds through it with not one FTF or FTE. My groups were a little down and to the right, but managed consistent 3 inch groups at 35 feet.

Besides the corny name, this is one nice well made pistol. I have had a H&K USP, Glock 19, and S&W's in the past, and this pistol is every bit as good IMHO. Has anyone else had any experiences with them they may care to share? What accessories do you recommend? I am thinking of possibly a Lasermax, but don't know if I will really need it. Here's a pic...

Very nice, Eggman. I don't believe I've ever seen one with that two-tone configuration. Those grips are sweet, too. They compliment the finish quite nicely IMO. I'm digging it. So how much you selling it for? ;)

ETA: Oh, I did not realize at first glance it's one of those new-fangled Baby Eagle 2's with the integral rail.

My apologies on the bad pic! It is all matte black, it is just the way the light is hitting it...

Also, I suppose it is a baby eagle "II" since it has the rail...
