new mark II owner

well i traded off a couple pistols for a used Mark II plus cash. wasnt shooting my 9mm's much, so i took them and my m40 to a mom-n-pop store, was close to just letting them give me all cash but that mark II stainless with bull barrel was just too tempting to pass up.

felt pretty good unloading four guns, taking one new one home, half a case of .45acp ammo plus a couple hundred bucks. forget the walther p22, this ruger is more to my liking.

anyone have any suggestions if the sights should be replaced with something better?

Unless there has been a change, the bull barrel come with a darned good set of adjustable sights. Just from curiosity, what do you want to change to?

not sure what i want to change to. i'll wait until i take her to the range before deciding. my first impression is that the front sight post is rather high. i did find a site that has replacement posts that provide a better sight picture.

You'll love that gun, it's a sweetheart to shoot.

The only mod I made to the sights was to file the back-cut part of the ramp off, touch up the sight with some orange paint, change the elevation of the rear sight slightly and it was good to go.
